Based in Geneva, and jointly led by Thuy-An Hoang, Neo Neo have a whole lot of well considered design, art direction, and visual identity. Their website is chock full of book design, album covers, signage, and other beautiful projects that I would love to get my hands on. They don’t have a rigid, in-house style, and I...

I’ve just spent almost an hour, leafing through the portfolio site of Studio Laucke Siebein. Their work has a certain timeless quality, reminiscent of the Swiss style of the 1920′s. This is not surprising, as Studio Laucke Sibien is based in Amsterdam, and is founded by the Berlin-born Dirk Laucke. Their deep portfolio of dynamic...

I was rather excited to discover Danish designers, Femmes Regionales this afternoon. Perhaps I’m a little slow on the uptake, as they have already produced a commemorative mini-book to celebrate five years of design. Femmes Regionales is unlike your average design agency, possibly due to it being founded by Mie Albæk Nielsen and Caroline Hansen, with...

I came across these posters, by Adapt, a freelance designer and art director, based somewhere in Britain. Mental disorders are a serious subject matter to tackle, and the minimal approach works so well. They do a nice job of visually summarising the disorders, whilst also highlighting how open to interpretation these conditions still are.

Matthew Lyons, is a ridiculously talented illustrator, who is a mere 22 years old. His illustration style is unlike anyone else’s, combining modern and retro design elements, with strong design structure, and a subtle sense of colour. His entire portfolio is well worth a look, but his comic book for Nobrow, is really impressive. I’m...

Brian Dettmer is incredibly patient, and possesses surgical-grade hands that allow him to create the most delicately detailed pieces of art, out of old encyclopaedias. Using scalpels, and a pair of tweezers he cuts, bends, folds and rolls the pages of books, in ways that make me almost dizzy. Whilst the initial visual impact is hard to ignore, Dettmer...

& Smith are an independent design studio based in London. They work in corporate identity, branding, print, web solutions, book design, signage and packaging. I have always had a love of the Ampersand, so & Smith had pretty much sold me with their name and brand, but their work is as crisp and fresh as a bright...

Dana Tanamachi is a graphic designer by day and chalk letterer by night. Currently based in Brooklyn, her writing can be found on people’s walls all over New York City. Despite me being insanely jealous of her skills with a piece of chalk, I am incredibly grateful that there are still people like her around,...

I love Moritz Resl’s muted work. There is an evident sense of depth and dark humour in his work, despite the fact that he tends to use a single, illustrated element per piece. Moritz is currently based in Vienna, and available for hire.

A combination of beautiful cinematography, and the amazing typography of Albin Holmovist, these adverts for EF language schools are just incredible. Shot using a Canon 5D DSLR, the photography is gorgeous with deliciously soft lighting, and an achingly, tight depth of field. This just further emphasises the value of today’s DSLRs reinforcing their relevance in modern film...

Italian designers, Wall & Decò, have created this, rather “impressive,” letterpress wallpaper. I’m a sucker for anything letterpress, and this is no exception, although I’m not sure whether I could cope with four walls decked out in it. Used on a feature wall, I think this could be amazing, especially in an studio/office.
